To improve understanding of anger and how to help others manage it

Those who work with adults & young people who present with anger related problems

Objectives:

At the end of this course delegates can expect to be able to:

  • Recognise the difference between healthy and unhealthy anger
  • Have a greater understanding of what happens inside the brain when we become highly emotionally aroused i.e. very angry
  • Understand the impact of persistent unhealthy anger on physical & mental  wellbeing
  • Feel more confident when faced with anger issues
  • Have knowledge of some strategies to use when helping young people to manage their own anger including the ‘Taking Control of Anger’ programme
